Our network is seamless and redundant. Our Cisco
backbone combined with our proprietary eCellerators
make it easy for us to provision customers, and customize
every solution. We own and access fiber networks across
North America, so there are no bottlenecks.
Everything moves at light speed! The Network Architecture
diagram shows epik's Metro
Hub-site and numerous customer sites. Each customer
site has its own, standard off-the shelf NAT firewall
- no special firewall equipment is needed. These customer
sites use private IP addresses for all of their network-connected
devices. No configuration or "opening of holes"
in the customer's NAT firewall is necessary.
Metro Infrastructure
epik’s
carrier-grade switch is from Broadsoft
(the award winning GENBAND M6 Communication Applications
Server – GENBAND was acquired by Broadsoft in
late August, 2008). The voice and data network is
Cisco-powered (79XX series IP phones). Within the
Metro and the building, our network is all-optical
– Epik has a dedicated Point-of-Presence (POP)
in the building. With our all-optical Fiber network,
epik can offer much more
than standard voice (we are capable of HD
Voice quality) and we have the potential
to add-on services as needed.
